Today our little girl was standing by the footlocker we use as a coffee table. I frowned in confusion and got up to see if she was standing on a cat. She was not and I was suitably amazed at how fast she has been growing.

Every day she wakes up and does something new. One day it was barking like a dog, today it's putting things inside other things and taking them out again. Tomorrow, who knows?

She points at everything and makes an inquisitive noise. "That's a picture of a fish," I say. "That's your great cousin Rowan [edit: Roan... Sheesh I'm just farking up names all over the place] ," I reply to a jab at the refrigerator door. "That's my toe," I say as she grabs it.

She's also gaining the ability to answer simple questions.

"Where's Drake," I ask. She points at our littlest cat.

One time, while K. was at work I asked her "where's mommy?" She pointed outside.

Right now she's playing with the wiimote and figuring out what all the buttons do to the game on the screen (Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess.)

It's pretty fun to see how she's growing and changing.
